The brand new, just-finished print above will premiere exclusively at the 2012 San Antonio Texas Comicon coming up in just two short weeks. And, yes, the people playing Bobby (Jim Beaver, also of Deadwood fame) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard, also of Battlestar, Doctor Who, Firefly and Burn Notice fame) WILL be there! How cool is that, fellow Supernatural fans? Very is the answer. And to boot - I'm going to have them sign the originals if I can find the time.

Okay, okay, it's been, like, forever since I last posted. I apologize. Between illnesses, surgeries, conventions, and a 40-hour work week (at a "real" job) I've just plain been busy. And that's not to mention the volumes of work I'm currently doing on Edward A. Holsclaw and Wendy M. Easton's ORIGIN: UNKNOWN (they haven't seen some of the recent work - it's going to be a big surprise!).

ANNNNNYway, I've been posting much more over on my Facebook of late - go check it out.

Lucidity 2, Page 4 Side-By-Side Comparison

I thought it would be interesting to see how a page of Lucidity issue #2 (written by Mike Kessler, with art by myself) drastically changes between the time the finishing touches are put into the inking (left) and when the finished page is all ready to go, colored and lettered (right). The entire flow and composition shifts. Each page, I think, up here stands on it's own in its own way. So different, but all the means to the end: the story.

Warbirds of Mars

Above is a quickie warm-up sketch homage to a great webcomic called Warbirds of Mars by Doc and Kane. I recommend you go check out! It's fantastic! It's an alternate, pulpy take on WWII in that aliens intercede in 1944. If you have an affinity for old school serials, The Shadow, or even Indiana Jones, then I suggest you check it out. It's great stuff!

Just a quick look at some of the second issue of Michael Kessler's Lucidity I'm working on for Bleating Goat Comics. The first issue's printing has been delayed, but will be printed within the next few months along with 2 and 3 and then, eventually, a trade paperback with bonus material! Yee! Then onto issue 4 and 5 and so on and so forth.

Just finished up this 17 x 11 inch watercolor piece titled "The Bride".
