"Feed the Monkeys"
The Kamikaze Snowmen - the greatest band in the world planet* - present a new song about feeding animals and the results of feeding animals. Fun! So break on through to the other side and wait until the music's over and then you'll know it's the end. See what I did there? I know. It was smarteded.

He Knows Something You Don't
Actually, at this point in my life, I'm pretty sure everybody knows a lot of things that I don't. This guy ain't anybody special.
And, yeah, I'm still fiddling with this new brush that I got. I know nobody was wondering.

"(Ain't Gonna Play Your) Metagame" Music Video
Production value! Excitement! Emotion! Drama! Thrills! Chills! Rainbows!*
*does not contain rainbows
Oh, and no, I'm not in it. I watched it four times and couldn't find me at all, but then I remembered that I couldn't make it to the shoot because of 1,220 miles of terrain between me and the shoot. It saddens me so, because it's totally rad!
But this is my blog, and I'll post whatever the damn hell I want!
And - hey - just because I'm not in something doesn't mean it's not awesome! I know it's hard to believe, but it's true.
Aaaaaanyways - here it is! Two-thirds of The Kamikaze Snowmen present the amazing music video for "Metagame"! Check it, cats! Check it twice just for fun, and three times for seriousity*. Then a fourth for fun again!
*seriousity may not be a word

The Plague Fields
I've always been fascinated by the various outbreaks of The Black Death, but I've now found something just as fascinating - Plague Doctors. It's said that they were probably, in the end, more responsible for transporting the disease than curing it and - hey, turns out most of them were volunteers and not doctors at all, as most doctors would have already fled the region knowing there was no help they could give. The Plague Doctors (so fun to draw, as you can see) would usually just show up, diagnose who had the Plague and who didn't, then would cordone areas off as "Plague Fields" to burn the hundreds and thousands of afflicted bodies.
What's so interesting and certainly sinister about these Plague Doctors was their appearance - a crude prototype of a gasmask, usually looking like a bird's beak (herbs would be placed in the nose to "filter" the "bad air"), and red-tinted glass portholes for eyes that, due to the red-tinting, would purportedly ward off evil. There was also the strange black tophat and full, long, black trenchcoat, usually topped off with a black walking cane to prod with. Creepy characters indeed. If you saw a man approach dressed as a tall dark bird-like creature, then you knew death was coming soon.

Mitchell!
No, it's not Joe Don Baker, but Mitchell the Irish vampire hiding away in Bristol from BBC's Being Human, which I just finished watching (seasons one and two, anyway). It's freakin' awesome! And Mitchell's the balls! So now I don't think of just Joe Don when I hear the name Mitchell said aloud. It's a nice feeling.
Below is the original brush and ink for the purists out there. Photoshop just gets so fun it's hard to stop myself sometimes. Just like Mitchell. And Joe Don.

"Outsourced by Robots"
The Kamikaze Snowmen present a song about the times. Of the times. And by the times. Or. Well. By The Kamikaze Snowmen.
I don't know if this happening to your job(s), but I know it's happened to a few of mine and continues to run rampant.
Robots in the workplace, won't you?
Enjoy the hell out of this damn fine song!

The Kamikaze Snowmen: A Portrait
From left the right, The Kamikaze Snowmen bandmembers Paul Tebben, Joshua M. Trumbo, and Me, baby. Well, that isn't really us. It's a drawing of us.
Just in case you don't think this is cool, I'll have you know this drawing has been called "incredible" by Joshua M. Trumbo!

Sketch Dump
I finished another Moleskine sketchbook. This one is what I refer to as my Crap Sketchbook. When I tell people I haven't been drawing lately, it's actually kind of a lie, because I'll always try to find time to sneak a doodle or two into my Crap Sketchbook when no one's looking.
What follows are a few selections from the 120 pages of this Crap Sketchbook (another Crap Sketckbook has already been born since). These are just some of the pages I personally find interesting but, rest assured, almost all of these are what I like to call Drawn in Sixty Seconds, so keep in mind many are bad, some are interesting, most are not polished, and a handful are just little experiments with varying media.
Basically, this is the stuff I usually don't show anybody. But, hey, I haven't posted in a while, as I've been stupid busy with Life and the World and just wanted to remind the internet that I haven't died.
Enjoy the Sketch Dump, in no particular order.
